Mirjan Topi, is an ornithologist from Albania and has joined the ÉLVONAL group in 2021. He is the co-author of the first complete field guide of birds of Albania and co-author of few other papers and books in the field of ornithology. Mirjan, has been continuously working in the Protected Area Vjose-Narte in the southern Albania since in the beginning of his career some 10 years ago. This site represents the main breeding site for waders in Albania and one of the most important sites in the whole Mediterranean. Currently, Mirjan is the executive director of the Center Birds of Albania. Within the ÉLVONAL initiative, Mirjan and his team is working for the study of Kentish Plover, Black-Winged Stilt and Pied Avocet in Albania.
