Viacheslav Khursanov is a PhD student at The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. He started his work with birds as a member of group studying Common cuckoos behavior by means of radio tracking. Also he took part in The LIFE MagniDucatusAcrola project that aims to restore degraded habitats of Aquatic warbler in Lithuania and Belarus and carry out the translocation of this species.

Since 2015 he became a member of group of scientists that carries out monitoring and study of wader species on Pripyat River floodplain meadows. He is primarily interested in sex roles, mating behavior, parental care and reproductive success of waders.
