Fanni began her bird-work on Common cuckoos’ territorial behaviour during breeding season for her Biology BSc studies with specialized in ecology at University of Debrecen, Hungary. The study was based on radio tracking. Then she worked with shorebirds’ (Little Ringed Plover, Redshank, Northern Lapwing, Black-winged Stilt, Avocet) nest site selection at a unique saltmarshy habitat for her Hidrobiology MSc thesis, specified in bioanalytics. Her interest is drawn by waders and wetland ecology: the relation between breeding ground preference and conservation, migration and demography.

As the research assistant of the ÉLVONAL SHOREBIRD SCIENCE, her main task is to converge scientific and administravie events on a scale that includes fieldwork, take part in database management, role & responsibility of being contact person and general project administration. She is in charge for managing ÉLVONAL Shorebird Science website.

From 2022 on she’s research assistnat/monitoring coordinator of Debrecen University beneficiary of EU Life Project, LIFEforBUGS&BIRDS.
